The FITE

The International Festival of the Extra-Ordinaries Textiles organizes in Clermont-Ferrand (Puy-de-Dôme / France) from 21th September to 23th September 2018 a “Marché de créateurs” offering to the exhibitors to present their exceptional textiles expertise. Two and a half days of meeting a curious public waiting for this fourth French edition. The Marché is the possibility for you to present and sell your creations during the international textile festival. The FITE is described as five festive days with a rich program: exhibitions, symposium, workshops, fashion shows…

More than 40 000 visitors for the French edition in September 2016. The “Marché des créateurs”

About twenty craft persons, designers and creators offer you quality products. The richness of this Marché comes from the meeting between visitors and creators, the link between the Marché and the different exhibition spaces. During the edition in 2016, the Marché of 19 exhibitors representing 6 nations (France, Argentina, Mexico, South Africa and Palestine) received more than 2000 visitors, for a turnover of 17 773 € and an average basket of 50 € per exhibitor.

The place

This year, the “Marché des créateurs” takes place in the atrium of the Hôtel de ville (city hall). It’s an old building built in a specific stone of the region situated in the middle of the city at the meeting point of different touristic places. (place de la Victoire / Jaude / Place Delille)

The FITE offers on Friday at the end of the afternoon, from 19h30 to 21h, an aperitif for all participants for a convivial time.

Admission process

• Only candidates who submitted a complete application before the 29th June 2018, will be admitted to the Marché after reception of positive opinion from commits selection.

• Craftsmen admitted cannot transfer in any way all or part of their rented area to other craftsmen. • The selection criteria based on technicality, quality, originality and price range considers available places. In case of

litigation between two candidates of the same value, the arrival date of the application will be considered. • Texts and photos (5 minimum, size 300 dpi) provided by the exhibitor are royalty free and can be used by the organizer within the

framework of the promotion of the exhibition on any type of media (posters, press releases, invitations, catalogue, internet, ...).

• Listing of the goods with materials, technics, photos and prices

Rules

• At his arrival the participant must read the rules of procedure of the Hôtel de Ville de Clermont-Ferrand and must respect the rules. • The FITE’s staff oversees the cleaning in the aisles and shared areas before the exhibition opens to the public. • Garbage bags will be put on your stand. Exhibitors are requested to deposit their baskets and garbage bags containing

documents to throw every evening in the driveway. • Exhibitors shall return their rented area in the same condition they found it at their arrival, including the loaned equipment (table

and chair clean). • Each exhibitor is responsible for the evacuation of its cartons and bulky goods. • For disassembly: outdoor garbage cans will be available for pre-cut and folded cards. • As the place is not directly accessible in car, we advise you to take a roller suitcase. The staff provides a roller carriage

Smoking and snack

• It is not allowed smoking and snacking in the place


Merchandise and materials

• The craftsman is responsible of his products. It is understood that the craftsman oversees organizing and paying his permits for

staying and selling in France on the market during the event.

• The craftsman will also take in charge the insurance of his products and the customs formalities for entry into the French territory

of his products. He will also take in charge the settling of customs fees and charges when leaving the territory by presenting the

invoices (manuscript accepted) proving the sale of goods and the French customs entry certificate.

• The craftsman is responsible of the technical, historical and cultural information on his products.

• The staff is not responsible of the organization of the booth of the participant. • Each degradation on the building will be evaluated and invoiced by the technical staff of the city. • List of equipment to provide (this list is not exhaustive and should be adapted according to your needs): Cleaning (trash, garbage

bags), supports communication and POS, supplies (pens, staplers, scissors, cutters, pins, glue stick, paper ream, Blu-tack, notebooks or notebooks ...), supplies attachment (chains, ropes, raffia ...)

Payment

• After the selection the participant are welcomed free on his stand and the participant benefit of the signage of the festival: program, flyer…

• Equipped with a central fund method of payment by credit card, two people will be available at any time to avoid a queue and manage your payments, leaving you fully available to receive your customers. HS_Projets agrees to refund your gains made in the central fund within 30 days (time for bank transfers abroad is included).

• Percentage of 15% on your sale is keep by the organisation.

• It is asked each participant to join the Association HS_Projets for 50 euros, by check or bank transfer.

This amount will be exempt of 15% payable to the organizers. Example: For 1000 euros sales, the 15% payable to the organizers or 150 euros will be retained only 100 euros.


Communication, Optimize your visibility:

• The Word-of-mouth is the main mean of communication of the event so talk about it! CONTACT YOUR NETWORK: Facebook, Twitter, Myspace, LinkedIn, links …

• Facebook: free publicity from our network and yours! “Like” our official page «FITE». Follow the news and share it with your friends.

• Communicate the showroom visual (JPEG and PJ format) via your blog/ website/ e-mailing.

SUBMIT TO US • Photos of your studio and your production with a short text of presentation of your approach.

• Texts and photos are free of rights and could be exploited by the organizer for the promotion of the showroom on all type of media support

(post card, invitations, catalogue, internet, press…). We will broadcast these information on the website of the FITE before the event.

I, the undersigned, give my consent on the organization of the selection committee, admission requirements and the principle of showroom, previously described. I accept that my participation to the Showroom of the FITE is in function of the opinion of selection committee. In case of admission, I am committed to be present on my stand, to present only my production selected by the selection committee, to respect the schedules and the other points described previously.

• The craftsman oversees setting his stand except for the material provided by HS_Projets. Any additional material will be his

responsibility as well as renting, buying, setting and removing its material and equipment and the transport and insurance. This additional equipment must be previously submitted to HS when preparing the exhibition and must meet the security requirements of the FITE.

• The craftsman is responsible of his products. It is understood that the craftsman oversees organizing and paying his permits for

staying and selling in France on the market during the event.

• The craftsman will take in charge also, the insurance of his products and the customs formalities for entry into the French territory
