THE SATANIC TRINITY WILL DOMINATE, DECEIVE, AND DESTROY (Rev. 13:1- 18) A. God often uses animals to symbolize the nature and activities of Himself or others. These final leaders are simply called “beasts” because they are unique in their wickedness and influence (Revelation 13:1- 4) (Daniel 7:3-7) B. This final world leader (Antichrist) will exercise influence and power over more countries than any previous leader. Only the saints of God will refuse to worship him (Revelation 13:5-10) C. The False Prophet will use “satanic miracles” to deceive the masses, who will be vulnerable to deception because of having rejected the truth (Rev. 13:11-15) (2nd Thessalonians 2:9-12) D. Just as the 144,000 will have a special song to sing that is unique to their walk with Christ, each of us should have songs to sing for our redemption. (Rev. 14:3-5) (Colossians 3:16-17) C. Different angels will proclaim the eternal truths about the character and plan of God, the fall of the godless systems, and the eternal torment of those who refuse to worship the Lord (Revelation 14:6-11) D. The unbelievers will never get to rest, while the believers will enjoy eternal rest and the harvest of their works for Christ on earth (Revelation 14:12-13)

“I CAN SEE CLEARLY NOW” STUDIES IN THE BOOK OF REVELATION

Revelation 13:1-15:8 “THE BEASTS, THE BLESSED ONES, AND THE BOWLS”

I. THE SATANIC TRINITY WILL DOMINATE, DECEIVE, AND DESTROY (Rev. 13:1-

18) A. God often uses animals to

symbolize the nature and activities of Himself or others. These final leaders are simply called “beasts” because they are unique in their wickedness and influence (Revelation 13:1-4) (Daniel 7:3-7)

B. This final world leader (Antichrist) will exercise influence and power over more countries than any previous leader. Only the saints of God will refuse to worship him (Revelation

13:5-10) C. The False Prophet will use “satanic miracles” to deceive the masses, who will be

vulnerable to deception because of having rejected the truth (Rev. 13:11-15) (2nd Thessalonians 2:9-12)

D. In Hebrew, Greek, and Latin, numbers had numerical equivalents, causing many to speculate whose names add up to 666. The number “6” symbolizes mankind (created on sixth day) and the threefold repetition emphasizes how sinful man falls short of the perfection (symbolized by number “7”) of God. (Rev, 13:16-18) (Exodus 21:2; Lev. 25:3; Isaiah 6:1-3; Rev. 3:1)

II. THOSE WHOM GOD HAS SEALED WILL FOLLOW THE LAMB OF GOD

WHEREVER HE GOES (Revelation 14:1-20) A. There is a Mount Zion on earth and one in Heaven, and the redeemed will be

worshipping the Lord in both places (Rev. 14:1-5) (Psalm 48:2) (Zechariah 14:4) B. Just as the 144,000 will have a special song to sing that is unique to their walk with

Christ, each of us should have songs to sing for our redemption. (Rev. 14:3-5) (Colossians 3:16-17)

C. Different angels will proclaim the eternal truths about the character and plan of God, the fall of the godless systems, and the eternal torment of those who refuse to worship the Lord (Revelation 14:6-11)

D. The unbelievers will never get to rest, while the believers will enjoy eternal rest and the harvest of their works for Christ on earth (Revelation 14:12-13)

E. The loss of lives that will occur during this horrible season of Tribulation will result in blood squirting out for miles. Make sure you avoid the wrath of God. (Rev. 14:14-20)

III. WORSHIP WILL CONTINUE WHILE THE WRATH OF GOD IS BEING POURED

OUT ON THE EARTH. WHICH ACTIVITY WILL YOU PARTICIPATE IN? (Revelation 15:1-8)

A. Human beings are slow to realize that God will always punish sin and those who choose to practice it. (Rev. 15:1) (Isaiah 13:6-9)

B. The song of Moses is a song of praise and deliverance. The first song was praise given at the Red Sea (Exodus 15:1-18) and there will be songs of praise before the glassy sea (Revelation 15:2-4) Will you be in the choir?

C. John was given another vision to see seven angels coming forth with bowls (saucers) to quickly pour out God’s wrath. It is better to drink the cup of salvation than to drink the cup of God’s wrath (Revelation

15:5-8) (Psalm 116:3) D. Smoke is often used to symbolize God’s holiness and fiery presence, and also His

wrath. (Exodus 19:16-18; Exodus 40:34-35; Revelation 15:8) ACCESS TO GOD IS DENIED TO ALL WHO REFUSE TO COME ON HIS TERMS. MAKE SURE YOU RESPOND WHEN YOU HAVE AN INVITATION FROM THE LORD! Pastor Ronald J. Morrison May 26, 2013

BIBLE STUDY QUESTIONS 1. The two beasts described in Revelation 13 will embody the worst of the previous

dominant nations (Babylon=lion; Persia=bear; Greece=leopard) and the vicious Roman Empire. How do we begin to understand why God allows wicked leaders to blaspheme His name and harm his people? (Notice last sentence in Rev. 13:10!)

2. How do you respond to those who are fearful of new technology being associated with the mark of the beast? Compare the mark (seal) of God on a believer with the mark of the enemy upon an unbeliever. (Rev. 16:16-18; Rev. 7:3; Ephesians 1:13-14)

3. What songs of praise best describe your experiences of being delivered from sin and walking in faith and victory? Is there any biblical justification for a believer to not desire to sing praises to the Lord publicly and privately? When does God hear your private praise most regularly?
