PORTABLE COMPUTERISED POLYFUNCTIONAL
SURGE TEST
“H3” SERIES
After the great success of the “H2” series, we realised a version completely managed by PC,
integrated in the instrument. Therefore, the new “H3” is born in two versions:
H3/6-CPS H3/6-CR H3/12-CPS H3/12-CR
bench in anti-shock bench trolley
sealed trolley
The basic features are mainly those of the “H2” series, but with important changes due to the use of
a high performing PC.
H3/12-CR H3/6-CR
H3/6-CPS; H3/12-CPS
UP TO 9 TESTS IN ONE EQUIPMENT
FUNCTION: performance of the following tests: SURGE, DIELECTRIC STRENGTH, INSULATION and
OHMIC RESISTANCE and options: POLARISATION INDEX, DAR, DD, MICRO DISCHARGE
DETECTION, DIE-CAST ROTORS TEST.
Useful to check all types and powers of motor stators, windings in general coils, relays etc. Perform
the complete test cycle then test, compare in automatic mode and print all measured data.
USE: REPAIRERS, TECHNICAL SERVICE, PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE, LABORATORY.
1. TEST TYPOLOGY AND FEATURES
1.1 MEASURE OF THE OHMIC RESISTANCE
• 4-wire system (Kelvin)
• Compensation at ambient temperature, with the use of a thermometric probe.
• Acceptance thresholds of the absolute value and of the unbalance between phases (for the
three-phase system), for the automatic result.
• Possibility of SELF-RANGING and MANUAL OR SELF-START
• “Delta T” measurement of single and three-phase systems; possibility of thermal unbalance
between phases.
1.2 “SURGE” IMPULSE TEST ON WINDINGS
Possibility to test single windings, single and three-phase motor stators (with 2
windings) with connected and non-connected phases internally.
Two testing modes:
AGAINST MEMORY: answers of the same winding responses are compared with the
previous one.
DIRECT COMPARISON BETWEEN PHASES: for three-phase systems, with TQF reading
(Total Quality Factor)
In both systems, possible L and Q differences are detected, with the possibility of acceptance
thresholds for GO/NO GO automatic results..
• Test voltage: from 0 to the max adjustable value with continuity, both from the panel knob
and touch-screen.
• Automatic commutation for three-phase, both in steps and sequence.
1.2.1 MICRO DISCHARGE detection (option E)
1.2.2 Increased energy: HS
1.3 DIELECTRIC STRENGTH IN DC
• Adjustable voltage with continuity from 0 to the maximum value
• Setting of the max current threshold for the automatic GO/NO GO response
• Automatic discharge of the residual voltage on the testing object when the START
buttons are released
1.4 MEASURE OF THE INSULATION RESISTANCE
• Adjustable voltage with continuity from 350 to 2.500 V d.c.
• Setting of the min current threshold for the automatic GO/NO GO response
• Automatic discharge of the residual voltage at the end of the test
1.4.1 Measure of the POLARISATION INDEX in automatic mode (option F)
Ratio between the measurement done at 10 min. with the one done at 1 min.
1.4.2 Measure of the DAR (Dielectric Absorption Ratio) (option G)
Ratio between the measurement done at 60 sec. with the one done at 30 sec.
1.4.3 Measure of the DD (Dielectric Discharge) (option H)
Ratio between the current at 1 min. and the test capacity voltage (IN PREPARATION)
1.5 DIE-CAST ROTORS TEST (option B – B1.A)
• Through the O4/BPR transducer the quality of the die-cast rotors cage of any dimension is
checked
• Possibility to memorise response curves
• The test is done by rotating the rotor of the proper mechanical equipment (ex. lathe)
2. PC GENERAL FEATURES
• 10“ PC panel, 2GB RAM, 32GB HSS (solid state HD)
• Touch-screen
• Windows Embedded Operative System
• 4 USB ports accessible from the outside, with connection to:
Keyboard, mouse, printer, etc
• External LAN socket for server or other PC.
• Memorisation of the set data and results, for each single contact, with relating response
curves (thousands)
• Data archive and parameterisation under password
• Indication of the tests result with the use of GREEN-RED signals on the screen.
3. OTHER FEATURES
• Double start button with anti-repetitive
• 40 column printer, internal (option A) or external for A4 (see enclosed printing)
• Key for safety blocking
• Tool to test wounded rotors (option C)
• Safety lamps (option D)
• Supply: 230 V. 50 – 60 Hz - 500 W
• High insulation cables for connection to the testing piece (2m)
• SW in Italian or English. Other language under request
• Selection on the screen of the various tests
• Case to contain accessories
• Automatic sequence of all tests (option I) (IN PREPARATION)
• Outlet of O4/BPR transducer
