“Functional Materials for Technologies Development”

Welcome to the Fourth International Symposium on Current Progress in Functional Materials. This year, the symposium is held in The Sakala Resort, Bali on Nov 6 – 7, 2019. Being a reputable conference in the field, ISCPFM 2019 provides a great forum for discussing the latest developments, research findings as well as application of functional materials. The conference is organized by the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Indonesia. In this occasion, we highlight the theme of “Functional Materials for Technologies Development”. Since the first conference back in 2016, we have gained an exceptional progress in terms of number of participants and countries joining this conference.

In its early year, ISCPFM was established to provide a platform for scholars, academics, scientists, researchers as well as students to have a scientific forum to introduce their research and discuss innovations related to functional materials. They presented and discussed their research activities, both in oral and poster presentations. In this conference, seventeen keynote and invited speakers from more than ten different universities from Indonesia and overseas- will deliver their topic of interest. And no less than ninety presenters will deliver their papers. These papers submitted by the participants from all over Indonesia, namely Bandung, Palembang, Yogyakarta, Malang, and Solo, as well from Japan and Vietnam. Various subjects will be presented and discussed the most current findings in scientific research.

This event is intended to continuously support and promote the young researcher to present their work. We hope a collaboration with other institutions and universities from Indonesia and foreign countries could be established through this conference. Eventually, our ultimate goal is to give back and contribute the society with the new ideas and innovations shared in this symposium.

The conference program is the results of tremendous efforts by many people. We would like to extend our appreciation for our fellow colleagues in the International Advisory Board and Scientific Committee for all the work in organizing this symposium, and for their work in securing a substantial input of paper and encouraging participation from all parties. We are also grateful for our sponsor, the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Indonesia to support this 4th Symposium and to those who served as chairman. Last but not least, we thank all the participants and authors, who submit their distinguished works to be presented in this event.
