Wastege offer asbestos removal, asbestos surveys, asbestos consultancy and asbestos disposal to Hull and across the UK.

We have gained ISO accreditations as well as working to the standards Governed by CAR (Control of Asbestos Regulation) 2012. Unashamedly proud of our service levels, with over 95% of new work coming from recommendations, we pride ourselves on providing a fast, reliable and personal service.

With over 30 years experience in Asbestos Surveys and Removals, we offer a dedicated service for the removal of asbestos based materials. We can confidently deal with any size project and pride ourselves on a

quick turnaround. After receiving the initial enquiry we usually provide an immediate quote and then we will be on site either the same day or the next day. During the progress of the project we will keep the client informed of all progress until the project ends.

Asbestos was used in most houses & units built in the UK until the late 1990s, until it was banned. However, some still have areas where asbestos is present, sometimes in alarmingly large amounts. Untouched places like roofs, attics, guttering, partition and ceiling lining are most likely to contain asbestos. In an undamaged or disturbed form, asbestos is not harmful however it can easily be damaged, and its harmful dust can be easily inhaled and cause serious diseases of the lungs and respiratory system, that are often fatal.

Dangerous Goods Awareness Training

In order to comply with ADR through the Carriage of Dangerous Goods Regulations, persons involved in the packing, loading, carriage, filling or unloading of dangerous goods by road, including wastes are required to undergo training in dangerous goods, refreshed every two years.

The training is prescribed to include general awareness in dangerous goods requirements and provisions plus undertake specific training, commensurate with persons duties and responsibilities.

It must also include safety training in the hazards and dangers presented by dangerous goods and security training.

Wastege remove all hazardous waste after chemical blast in East YorkshireAfter a chemical blast in Pocklington Wastege worked across the weekend to remove all hazardous waste from the burnt wreckage and managed the demolition of all the buildings after the fire.

Wastege Industrial Services Laboratory Clean UpWastege tackled laboratories in East Yorkshire to restore stations to their former glory. Our methodical cleaning saw us remove each area to be treated in a number of stages and repeated to ensure all residues, ash and even the majority of stubborn chemical spills had been removed from all areas. Our team worked unremittingly to add 5 extra testing stations within the lab.

Toxic Waste Clean UpWastege Ltd were awarded a contract to manage, remove and dispose of “Toxic Waste” containing Arsenic and Cyanide from a rear of a housing estate and a nearby School.

The waste is a deadly material that can cause fatalities through Inhalation and in-gestation. We had to take our time to manually remove the waste from the site wearing Full PPE and respirators after the waste was illegally dumped.
