“DOING THINGS DIFFERENTLY - ABORIGINAL HOUSING IN NSW” CONFERENCE
Tuesday 26 September 2017
Masonic Centre, SMC Sydney Conference & Function Centre
Welcome.
Today, we’re putting the future of Aboriginal Housing on the agenda.
We encourage you to engage with leading experts from housing, health, education, investment and employment to talk about how we can create real change for Aboriginal families by working together.
Aboriginal organisations play an important role in delivering and linking people to other services.
We need to identify the links between housing and better opportunities for Aboriginal people in NSW to develop a range of effective service delivery options.
The AHO encourage you to have your say and use your expertise to help shape the future of Aboriginal Housing in NSW.
Regards, Shane Hamilton

4 Doing Things Differently Conference
Thank you for joining us in Shaping the Future of Aboriginal Housing in NSW.
The Aboriginal Housing Office (AHO) Conference theme is about Doing Things Differently. The AHO is challenging you to shift the conversation from simply ‘how we house Aboriginal families and communities’ to ‘how we can partner to create a real difference to the Aboriginal future of NSW’.
This inaugural conference joins leaders from Aboriginal community housing, community housing, investment, government, academia and the not-for-profit sector to debate these challenges.
We are seizing the opportunity to identify new partners, business models and novel ways to deliver housing services to Aboriginal people by participating in this conference.
DOING THINGS DIFFERENTLY
THE CONFERENCE
The Aboriginal Housing Office would like to acknowledge the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who are the traditional custodians of the land on which we meet.
We would like to acknowledge that we are meeting on the land of the Gadigal people of the Eora Nation and we would like to pay respect to their Elders, both past and present.
