This session will cover the early adoption of IoT and draw a parallel as to how IoT has advanced empowered by technology and standards for sensing, connectivity/gateway and fog/cloud computing & analytics and services connecting an estimate of 50 billion smart things by 2020, to improve business efficiency and quality of life. The talk will provide examples and solutions leveraging IoT and collaborative technologies in developing smart solutions for health, homes/building, energy and transportation leading to building smart cities.
