    How to arrive?

    IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT LINE 8 THAT CONNECTS THE AIRPORT TO THE CENTER

  • Metro Madrid will be carrying out renovation works on Line 8. The works, which will affect the 16.5 km of the line, will start on 26 January, and will last until 18 April next.

    During this period, there will be several special bus services to cover the section affected by the closure.

    Both if you arrive at terminal 4 or terminals 1,2 or 3, take the special bus service to “Mar de cristal” underground stop and take the metro Line 4 (direction Pinar de Chamartín) and stop to Pinar de chamartín, then take line 1 and stop to Estrecho ( the cost of the ticket is 1,50€ more 3€ of supplement).

    PROJECT DESCRIPTION

    Close the Gap is a seminar whose main objective is to bring together 20 youth workers, trainers, educators and monitors from 10 European countries during 4 days to acquire, share and try to combine technological innovations with non-formal education and learn to close the gap between education and work to reduce youth unemployment, develop 21st century skills in youth and contribute to the development of technology among young people as a key factor.

    Each theme of the seminar will contribute to the development of issues related to the overall objective while the role of technology will be highlighted. The activity will contribute to the achievement of a specific and relevant opportunity in Spain and Europe regarding youth, technology, non-formal education and the international community:

    1. To promote access to the European labor market to young people, especially those who are at risk of social exclusion, using digital tools as key to developing your motivation and creativity. 2 Enhancing cooperation among European organizations working in the world of non-formal education to achieve a social Europe and economically strong, so it is essential that all parties and young Europeans can learn to understand how their local situation is connected to job opportunities at European level.

  • 3. Provide training for youth workers in a sector as current technology and digital tools 3.0, true language of young people able to attract all the target groups of the partner organizations opportunities.

    The seminar will help create the necessary programs to create entrepreneurship, skills and competencies necessary for young people to work towards a sustainable future. The content of the activity provides information and training sessions with qualified speakers of the Sanders Foundation, while there will be working groups dynamic and sessions for discussion and reflection. We offer a space for networking to develop new synergies that can generate innovative ideas and projects, as well as a space for the exhibition of cases of good practices useful for the development of new methodologies for the sharing of long-term goals. We organize a visit to a coworking center where we will present several realities of social business fabric of Madrid to get ideas and to stimulate creativity so that these can be replicated internationally. The expected result is to offer a training space and work to those youth workers interested in internationalizing their work, get ideas and new training opportunities to implement them in their local communities, generating long-term benefit in networking at European level young as well as nationally and internationally. Whole partnership actively work before, during and after the activity is completed Sanders being the coordinating entity.

    COST FUNDED

    The project seminar costs related to travel, accommodation and activities are covered within the project, and will be handled by Fundación Sanders.For the other expenses (souvenir, extra-food, coffee breack etc) each participant should bring money as much as he/she thinks will be needed. Accommodation and lodging covered 100% by the Erasmus+ program.

    HOW TO BUY TICKETS? AND HOW WILL BE REIMBURSED?

    Please buy yourself the tickets through Skyscanner or similar websites. Before buying the tickets, you may need to send us your itinerary and budget for our approval. If you buy your tickets without our approval, you risk of not get any reimburse for it. The necessary documents for reimbursement: if all documents provided (original tickets boarding passes etc) the reimbursement will be done at the end of the project. If not, after the course, by bank transfer.

    -If they will have return ticket in their own country. Ask them to buy while coming to the project;

    -Taxi will not reimbursed;

    -We need your all receipts, tickets and boarding passes (for both ways). So when you are coming, keep them. After the project you should send us (scanned by email and originals by post) all the tickets boarding passes of the travel back home.

    -Insurance will be participant’s responsibility.

    ORGANISATION NOTES

    Taking into account the educational kind of the project, it is forbidden to use alcohol and other drugs during the project activities;

    The project assumes that attendance in all activities for all the participants must be 90%.Failure to attend the activities may result in our inability to reimburse the travel expenses.

    The participants are expected to attend the whole duration of the project and participate in all activities. If an emergency happen and you need to be absent for a short time, the team should be informed in advance. Please use the free time for meeting friends. If you miss any part of the course only without a valid reason (illness or unforeseen grave circumstances) and without informing the team and/or if you cause major problem for the team and your participant group, the team will have to take measures going from partial refunding of the tuition, travel expenses, board and lodging by the participant up to exclusion from the course in extreme situation. Please note that during the course the team have the authority to take decisions in a day-to-day life as well as the arrangement of the programme.

    HOME WORK

    Please prepare an energy activity to implement during the seminar. We kindly ask participants to be active during the seminar.

  • Please bring the information to present your NGO in the NGO fair. You have maximum 3 minutes to present your organization Do not forget to bring material about your organization (leaflets, posters, photos, video etc). You can share your project, best practices...

    We will create a publication of the project which will include all the NGOs participating to the project.So we kindly ask you to send us 1 page information and 1 or 2 pictures and logo of your NGO. So, we can deliver it to even after the project.

    Please be ready to present your country on the inter-cultural evening; some food, posters, game, music…(There is no opportunity to use the kitchen for preparing food).

    Each partner will cooperate in the creation of promotional material for being published online.

    The partners will be responsible for: ● Promotion and visibility of the project; ● Selection/Nomination of the participant for the project activities; ● Producing the database together in working groups during the seminar; ● Ensuring financial management for their expenses; ● Attending the seminar; ● Evaluation and reporting;
