Citrus essential oil was produced by extractingcitrus fruitskinusingdistillationsystem. Although there are so many citrus varieties, it is not all citrus varieties can be exploredtheiressentialoil.Mainsignalusedas indicator that citrus variety has potential itsessentialoilistheexistenceoflimonenecompound in the variety. Generally limonene compound is dominant compound in citrus essential oil. Variation of citrus essential oil aroma in several citrus varieties is de-termined by other content and compound compositions of non-limonene compound.
Essential oil extraction procedure ofcitrus fruit skin is:- Cutting citrus fruit skin into small pieces
(±2mm2square)tomakeeasyreleasingprocess of essential oil. To optimize in obtaining optimal volume of essential oil, drying citrus fruit skin in open area for 3-4 days is suggested.
