The Australian renewable energy industry will install more than 10 gigawatts ofnew solar and wind power during 2018 and 2019 If that rate is maintainedAustralia would reach 50 renewables in 2025 according to an analysis by ECIresearchers in the Conversation article below

Despite the current federal government policy paralysis the renewable energytrain just keeps on rolling

The analysis shows that the Australian energy industry has now demonstratedthe capacity to deliver 100 renewable electricity by the early 2030s if thecurrent rate of installations continues beyond the end of this decade

Congratulations to our colleagues Andrew Blakers Matt Stocks and Bin Lu forwinning a prestigious Eureka award Their research is about how Australia cantransition smoothly to 100 renewable electricity while retaining reliability ofsupply

Finally ANU has received $34 million in funding from the AustralianRenewable Energy Agency (ARENA) for research into hydrogen technologiesTouted as Australias next resource boom interest in this form of energystorage continues to grow worldwide
