1. Commit to action by remaining aware of your privilege.

2. Seek out and participate in diversity training on your campuses.

3. Assess the current level of diversity in your programs by collecting and maintaining data on the diversity of your students, faculty, guest speakers, and host organizations.

4. Actively recruit diverse students, faculty, guest speakers, and host organizations that provide exposure to different cultural perspectives on arts and culture.

5. Partner with your college or university’s development offices to raise funds to support your program’s diversity efforts.

6. Practice teaching strategies in your classrooms that foster an appreciation for diversity and develop cultural intelligence and sensitivity.

7. Help legitimize the importance of diversity in Arts Administration by using your privilege to become an ally of the disadvantaged.
