This is because all the spiritual laws of the universe respond swiftly and favorably to our nation’s collective and powerful Thanksgiving feelings of gratitude and charity. As a result, those who are wise enough to use spiritual laws properly can receive much more to be thankful for. For example, the spiritual law of being says “like begets like,” so the universe will reward Thanksgiving feelings of gratitude with more to feel grateful for, and reward the joy of giving with more joy to give. Conversely, feelings of selfishness and greed will be rewarded with acts of selfishness and greed. Mystic Annie Besant stated, “Spiritual law binds the ignorant, but frees the wise.” Sadly, this vital knowledge seems to be mostly lost upon the most secular generation ever, the Millennials. (Millennials are defined as those born between 1982 and 2004.) A recent radio conversation between two Millennials vividly proved the point. One Millennial claimed to the other that he didn’t believe in karma because he was constantly doing nice things for others, but getting nothing in return. Unfortunately, he was con- fusing the law of karma: “It is done unto you as you believe,” with the law of attraction: “You reap what you sow.” Not surprisingly, due to his lack of spiritual knowledge, he didn’t realize that the law of attraction was working perfectly. The desire for gratitude he sowed reaped more desire for gratitude — so he received nothing. Had he been spir- itually knowledgeable and aware of how the law of attraction works, he would have thanked the universe for having something to give. The law of attraction would have given him more to be thankful for, and more to give. Another glaring example of the Millennial lack of spiritual knowl- edge is the use of “no problem” and “no worries” instead of “you’re wel- come”, as responses to “thank you” and other expressions of gratitude. It’s painfully obvious to all but the spiritually deficient that the universe responds to assertions and feelings of gratitude with a resounding “you’re welcome” to its infinite power, beneficence, good- ness and grace. Those who are spiritually intui- tive realize that if the universe responded with “no problem,” to an expression of gratitude, it would indicate that the universe is some kind of anthropomorphic entity, because only sentient beings with physical bodies have problems. Additionally, if the universe responded with “no worries” to a “thank you,” it would imply that the infinite, eternal, all-knowing, all- encompassing universe is a finite entity with something to gain or lose, requiring a capacity for worry. Thus, using “no problem” or “no worries” to acknowledge gratitude is a sign of spiritual incorrectness. Ironically, most Millennials abhor incorrectness! It must also be noted that the use of “no problem” and “no wor- ries” instead of “you’re welcome” is a paradox for Millennials, if the many stereotypes about them are correct. If they are indeed a shal- low, vain, detached and narcissistic lot, the power of “you’re welcome” can be very flattering to inflated Millennial egos, so they should be using it! Instead of trivializing their rare acts of consideration and thought- fulness with a cursory “no prob- lem” or “no worries,” Millennials can be spiritually correct and glo- rify their charitable acts and their egos with the power of “you’re wel- come” to their kindness, goodness, and utter dopeness (Millennial for awesomeness.) Hence, on Thanksgiving Day, it behooves Millennials and everyone else to give thanks for no problems and no worries, and then to bask in the power of the universe’s joyous “you’re welcome.” Gil Michaels is always dope at [email protected].
