Edward Bowne Willets (1837-1916), born in New York City to Daniel Titus Willets and Elizabeth Farrington (Bowne) Willets, had a career in maritime commerce in the family business, Willets & Co., in Manhattan. In his later years, he became an avid student of local colonial history and collector of antique furniture and “bric-a-brac” for his home in Brooklyn. Acquired from estate of a direct descendant. Extensive background and genealogy provided.

connections to Phillips Academy founders in Andover.
