Discuss the key differences between the Oldowan and Acheulean technologies. In your answer describe the associated hominid species and the geographic range of these tools. What do these differences imply about the evolution of human cultural and cognitive capacities? 3. Discuss the importance of Blombos Cave. What are some of the key discoveries from this site and what do they indicate about the development of human cognitive development? How do these discoveries fit with our knowledge about the first modern humans in Africa?
