    Anoka County Works A Benefit for Employers and Employees

    What is Anoka County Works? It is an agreement between an employer, employee, and Anoka County, in which an employer is reimbursed for 100 percent of the starting wage for two months and 50 percent of the starting wage for an additional two months.

    Agreements last four months.

    An agreement must be signed by an Anoka County Job Training Representative before the new employee starts work.

    How does Anoka County Works help employers? Employer identifies a permanent fulltime position (not less than 30 hours a week) they need to fill.

    Trainees are professionally assessed to match their education, skills and experience to their field.

    Employer hires and trains the employee with an expectation that the employee is retained at the end of the agreement.

    Employer is reimbursed up to 100 percent of the starting wage for two months and 50 percent for an additional two months to equal four months total.

    Anoka County Job Training Center staff is available for consultation regarding work-related issues that arise during the Anoka County Works agreement (placement period).

    Where does the money come from? These funds are from the state and federal government.
