Ice breaking session for the new batches
New friendships bring in freshness, motivation and
inspiration!
We recently enrolled a new batch of women at the Silai
and Shringhaar project of Mandira Margam women's centre in Gurugram and to
break the ice, a fun workshop was organized for them. The
team building session inculded musical chairs, interactive
activities, dance, music and a contributory lunch with some
regional flavours.
Usha's big break at UrbanClap!
Having completed her diploma course in cosmetology from VIDYA Mandira Margam
Program, Usha applied for a job at UrbanClap. In no time she managed to
establish herself as a freelance beautician and is now earning INR 50,000 a
month. Life has finally taken a positive turn for Usha and her family! She takes
immense pride in introducing herself as a working woman in the Nathupur
community and aspires to open her own salon as well! Congratulations Usha!
The diploma ceremony for the second batch of the
Shringhaar project at the Mandira Margam Program was held in December at Shenaaz Herbal's office.
We thank Ms Nelofar
Currimbhoy for mentoring our women and United Way Of Delhi for supporting the
Shringhaar Project.
All set to be entrepreneurs !
Christmas~ the festival of love and compassion is the favorite time of the year for our children, as it marks the onset of the winter break. Dressed up as little elves, snowmen and Santa Claus, our children across all the VIDYA centres had a fulfilled Christmas celebration.
Thanks to our donors and partners who surprised our children on the occasion by taking out time to spend a day with them.
Here comes Santa with his bag of joy!
