A. Registration

1. All secondary students currently enrolled in any recognized higher education institution in the region arequalified to join.

2. Each participant is to be charged a registration fee of P20D. A discount of PSOwill be given to those whowill be paying not later than January 13, 2015. Early-bird registrants may deposit their fee to the accountindlcated below.

3. Contestants are to confirm participation by sending the following information via ernall [email protected] with subject "Mathlete HSConfirmation":

Name of school,Name and contact information of coach,Names of participants, andScanned copy of the deposit slip.

4. On the day of the competition, contestants are to present a valid school 10 upon registration.

B. Contest proper

1. Questions will come from Algebra, Trigonometry, Elementary Statistics, Combinatorlcs and Probability,Geometry and logic.

2. The contest proper consists of two (2) phases namely the Elimination Phase and Final Phase.

Ellmlnatlon Phase3. Contestants will be given a 2-hour written exam consisting of 33 questions: 10 Neophyte, 10 Apprentice

and 10 Grandmaster and 3 Problem Solving questions worth 3, 6, 9 and 10 points, respectively.4. For every incorrect answer, one-third (1/3) of the allotted points will be deducted from the total score.S. No answer, no point,6. The 15 highest scorers will advance to the Final Phase.

Final Phase7. The Final Phase consists of two (2) rounds - the Amateur and Professional Rounds.8. The following rules will be observed in the Final Phase:

a. The quiz master will read each question twice.
