Annual Safety Conference 2016Prevention through design for better safety and health

The fifth IOSH Hong Kong Annual Safety

Conference and 16th AGM and Annual Dinner

will be held at the Salisbury – YMCA of Hong

Kong. The Conference will showcase good

practice and ideas on prevention through

design for improving safety and health in the

workplace, and provide a platform for both

local and overseas professionals to exchange

ideas and share their experiences of improving

occupational health standards in various

sectors.

The concept of prevention through design has continued to gain momentum for designers and engineers to consider explicitly the safety and health of employees and end-users during the design process worldwide. With various sizeable construction projects being developed recently in Hong Kong, it is valuable to include prevention considerations in construction designs.

Who should attend? The conference will be relevant to executives, professionals and managerial staff, particularly safety and health professionals and those responsible for safety and health at work.

Why should you attend? The conference will provide an important forum for the meaningful exchange of good practice and ideas on tackling safety and health issues in various workplaces and an excellent opportunity to share ideas, network with colleagues, make new contacts and learn from others in the profession.

IOSH members are invited to attend the Annual General Meeting of Hong Kong Branch immediately after the conference to hear about the branch’s priorities and plans for the year ahead, and to see the new branch committee voted in. In the evening, join us with our honorable guests, speakers, government officials, branch committee members and other delegates at the annual dinner, taking place at the same venue. Enrolment for the dinner can be made separately.
