Purpose: The purpose of the state funds are to support civil legal assistance, crisis stabilization for human trafficking, infrastructure and core services for sexual assault services and the New Mexico Intimate Partner Death Review Team. Source of Funding: State General Fund Range of Awards: $49,750 to $1,549,900 Statistics: Twenty one (21) sexual assault programs statewide, one (1) civil legal service provider, two (2) human trafficking service providers, and the New Mexico Intimate Partner Death Review Team.

STOP Violence Against Women Act Grant

Purpose: The primary purpose of the STOP VAWA Formula Grant Program is to support communities in their efforts to develop and strengthen effective law enforcement and prosecution strategies to combat intimate partner related violent crimes and to develop and strengthen victim services in cases involving domestic, sexual, stalking and dating violence. Source of Funding: Federal Flow-Through Funds Range of Awards: $9,868 to $78,542 Statistics: Thirty eight (38) STOP funded projects provide services across the State. Awards to projects that provide services to Indian Country consisted of 6%. Projects providing services to underserved and marginalized populations consisted of 34%.

Victims of Crime Act Assistance Grant Purpose: The primary purpose of the VOCA Victim Assistance grant is to provide services to victims of crime throughout the state. Th es e f u n d s s u p p o r t s t a t e , l o ca l , t r i b a l an d n o n -profit victim services organizations. Source of Funding: Federal Flow-Through Funds Range of Awards: $9,930 to $575,000 Statistics: Eighty-two (82) VOCA Victim Assistance projects provide services to victims of crimes. Awards to projects that provide services to Indian Country consisted of 8.1%. Projects providing services to underserved and marginalized populations consisted of 14%.

Sexual Assault Services Program Grant

Purpose: The primary purpose of SASP funds are to support intervention, advocacy, accompaniment, support services and related assistance impacting adult, youth and child victims of sexual assault, family and household members of victims and those collaterally affected by the victimization in New Mexico. Source of Funding: Federal Flow-Through Funds Range of Awards: $23,499 to $32,468 Statistics: Ten (10) SASP funded projects totaling $367,573.00 provided services to adult and child victims of sexual assault. Awards to projects that provide services to Indian Country consisted of 19%. Projects providing services to underserved and marginalized populations consisted of 38%.
