Superintendent’s Message:
On behalf of the students, staff, and board members of SouthernTech, I wish to extend our ‘thank you’ for your continued support of our quality training services. At Southern Tech, we realize the health of an economy greatly depends on the availability of a qualified workforce. For over 53 years, SouthernTech has provided targeted workforce development to keep our area growing. Thankfully, Southern Oklahomans have continued to support our efforts, and it has paid huge dividends to the area. SouthernTech offers twenty-one full-time programs taught by a team of thirty certified, subject matter experts. Fifty-four additional subject matter experts are utilized as adjunct instructors to deliver short-term training programs for those with less time to commit. Last year, over 19,303 people were served in this area alone. Roughly sixty-six percent of this number is a result of customized training for 12,725 incumbent workers representing 183 different companies in the SouthernTech district. A recent study shows that every local tax dollar invested in our full-time day program offerings produces an annual return of $2.08 in salaries earned from graduates of that same year. This figure is just a small sample of a much larger return that would include our corporate training efforts, which we still need to quantify. Our mission is simply to provide quality education and training services to secure the future of southern Oklahoma. We do this by offering a wide variety of training programs for all walks of life. From individuals seeking that first job to large companies retraining their entire staff, we love to empower people with relevant, marketable knowledge. Choose a path and enroll today!
