Wehavecometo theendofour fiscalyear,our12th since the Digicel Foundation launched its operations in Haiti. A year that, in many ways, was very distinctive because it put to the testtheresilienceofmanyinstitutionsinthecountry, especially those whose activities stretch acrossthenational territory. Indeed, over theyears, theneeds grow more and more and the challengesget bigger and bigger.

However, I am delighted with and very proud ofthe work that the Digicel Foundation team hasbeenabletoachieveinsuchadifficultcontext.Ithas continued its investments in education and, forthepasttwoyears, hastouchedthousandsofpeople through its "Konbit pou Chanjman" (Come TogetherforChange)campaign, whichprovidesfinancial support for the best community deve-lopment projects designed and run by local or-ganizations throughout the country’s 10 depart-ments.

Since 2007, our school construction programhas reached many milestones. Last March,we ended our fiscal year with the celebra-tion of our 175th school. And in response to

the growing demand for school constructionprojects across the country, it was decidedto continue working in this sector, which hasalwaysbeenoneofourmainpillarsof inter-vention.

The goal for the 2018-2019 fiscal year was toinaugurate four new projects. However, themany difficulties encountered, related to theunstable socio-political situation, caused adelay in the execution of this work. Nonethe-less,wearepleasedtohavebeenabletoopen
