Chairman’s Message

Following a flurry of ac-

tivity and changes in

2011, the Sierra Vista

Area Chamber continued

to operate at a fast pace throughout

2012.

The focus this past year has once

again been to improve the Cham-

ber’s programs and events for the

benefit of our members.

We are not out of the recession

woods yet, and that is something we

have been mindful of as we pro-

gressed through the year.

Our membership investment struc-

ture remained the same, while fees

for many events and programs were

also kept at the 2011 level.

The goal is, and always will be, to

offer membership benefits that add

value to your business.

We breathed new life into the an-

nual Home & Business Expo after

switching its location to the Mall at

Sierra Vista and we were delighted

with the positive response received

from the members about this event.

It was a busy year on the political

front and the Chamber was at the

forefront of the election season,

working to keep both the businesses

and area residents informed through

forums, meet & greets and our new

Legislative Affairs newsletter.

The Board of Directors has been

particularly pleased with the many

new partnerships we have formed

with organizations and agencies in

our community.

As the area’s leading business or-

ganization, we know how important

it is to build lasting and beneficial

relationships and we plan to con-

tinue on this path in 2013.

A new year brings with it new hope

and it is the Chamber’s hope that

local business will grow and thrive.

We will certainly continue to work

to help you achieve that goal.

Dee Dee Hoeft

Chairman
