Supported Students In 2010 we have supported 142 students from 17 districts in Bangladesh. A number of members who visited Bangladesh recently also visited schools and supported students. You have received the report of those visits with photos. At the time of visit, the question arouse whether the students who completed college could be supported for university entrance exam coaching in Dhaka. The management board accepted this proposal with the condition that the students should apply with their own initiative to the board. Students can send application by email or letter. During the visit, impression of the visitors were that the students and their family are very much pleased and thankful for the financial support from Germany. The supported students requested the visitor to convey their heartily thanks to all members and donators. With our support the students are able to continue their school or college. They all come from very poor family. Their parents are typically boatmen/fishermen, day labourer and farmers with very low income. We expect that the sponsored students will support our organization later, when they have good positions in future. A list of supported students is given as an attachment. Money Transfer to Bangladesh In 2010, we have transferred money to Bangladesh with four months interval. In 2010, a total amount of 12000 Euro has been transferred to distribute among the supported students. Every bank transfer from Germany to Bangladesh costs 15 Euro. The money transfers in Bangladesh from the central account to the respective accounts of the local representatives cost between 0.60 Euro and 0.80 Euro per transaction. We thank respective school headmasters for their cooperations, distribution of money and sending documents. We are dependent on their voulantary services.

Number of members, donation and our financial condition Now we are exactly 100 Members. A few members quit in 2010. New members are always welcomed. It would be great pleasure if you convey this message to your friends and known circle. Please tell them about our helping activities and motivate them to be our member. Up to date 3rd November 2010, the total collected membership fee from 2010 is 11,790.00 Euro. Received donation in 2010 till 3rd November is 1536.12 Euro. Special thanks to Tax consulting firm ‘Richter & Ebner’ who have paid back the whole charge for their consulting hours which is an amount of 776,12 Euro as donation. Receipts of membership fee for Tax declaration will be sent at the end of November or beginning of December to all the members whereas the donation receipts are sent directly after the reception of all donations. The administration cost is between 2% to 3%. Miscellaneous � One general assembly for all members and four meetings of management board were held in 2010. � The website is currently being renewed and is going to be available at the end of the year 2010. � The registration process of new organization in Bangladesh is under process.
