Around 1000 delegates attended the conference. Participation came from various lnternational and National NCO and Govt sectors. It was a very successful conference. IPHA's functions, activities, programme reports and images were uploaded regularly in website which increasestransparency to members Worldwide. Now it is carrying all announcements about conference and all activities ot`IPHA and also of related nature. Periodical bulk Emails from google server are sent to all members' registeredEmail ID about branch activities and upcoming events IPHA.

Bhaban Committee:Four Air Conditioner has been purchased and installed in the Ground floor & 1S' Floor at IPHA Bhaban. Annualmaintenance of AC, water purifier & testing of Fire Extinguishers has been done. Regular Fire audit has been done.New Fumiture's were purchased for meeting and official purpose. Tender has been selected for outside colour ofthe building. Bhavan is adequately used,by the members for short stay and different programmes and meeting.The valuation of the building has been done by the architect as per the sanctioned plan.

Membership Committee:This year total 255 new candidates were enrolled as IPHA Life member. 196 has opted for e-journal and 59 optedfor hard copy ofjoumal.

Ethical Review Committee:IPIIA Ethical Review Committee has been constituted to review all its research projects to safeguard and welfareand the rights of the participants(subjects.). The Committee is entrusted to review the proposed research protocols

prior to initiation of the projects as well as before implementation. The ongoing review would be according to thelntemational guidelines. The ls' meeting was held at IPHA Bhaban on 26'h August 2017. Dr Sanghamitra Ghosh.Secretary General IPIIA started the meeting by heartily welcoming all the new members of thecommittee.

Questionnaire on assessment of knowledge, attitude andpractice about menstruation and menstrual hygieneamong secondary high school girls were distributed tostudents of College of nursing at R.N, Tagore Hospital &Gokhale Memorial Girls school.

Posters were distributed among all medical colleges &departments.Quiz contest was performed amongst UGsffGs and cashprize was rewarded to the successful candidates on thesame day.

2. World Environment Day IPHA Observed "World Environment Day" inDate: 5th June 2017 collaboration with Maternal and Child Health cell-atVenue : 63 Tea Garden, Dibrugarh, Assam Medical College and Hospital. This year themeAssam Medical College "Connecting People to nature."

Mr. Rana Dey, Deputy Secretary of ABITA (AssamBranch Indian Tea Association) along with Dr. AjantaDeuri and Dr. Nabanita Nirmalia from the Department ofCommunity Medicine, AMCH and Dr. Tuliha GoswamiMahanta graced the occasion.The Secretary of NCONidaan Mr. Jadav Das and its key members alsoparticipated in the event.The speakers touched upon the theme of this year's eventi.e.; Cormecting people to nature and pressed upon theneed of the younger generation to reciprocate more tonature, understand the various issues that ultimatelycauses the deterioration if the environment and use theircollective intellect to find persistent solutions to the

problems.Tree saplings were distributed among adolescent girls.This event was carried out simultaneously in 63 membertea estates of ABITA where around 10 tree saplings wereplanted in each tea garden.

3. World Population Day IPHA observed World Population Day on the I lu' JulyDate: 11'h July 2017 2017 at LT-4, Department of Community Medicine,Venue: LT-4, Dept. of community IPGME&R. Kolkata. This year theme "FamilyMedicine, IPGME&R, Kolkata Planning: Empowering people, Developing Nations".

West Bengal Medical Council (WBMC) was approvedAccreditation of2 hours CME.

A CME programme was held on Family Plarming for PG& UG students. Several members were attended theprogramme. Important topics were discussed aboutFamily Planning with proper demonstration usingprojector by the speakers which was very fruitful for theaudience.

5. World Breastfeeding Week The Inauguration program was held at Auditorium ofDated: 19' August to 7th August 2017 B.R. Singh Railway Hospital, Kolkata on ls` August

2017 at 2.00 pin. Dr Sanghamitra Ghosh, SecretaryGeneral, [PHA delivered key note address in the augiiral ,

Pondicherry State Branch: IPHA- State Chapter meet- Pondicherry was held on 4th August at AnnamalaiHotel, Pondicheny. The Chief Guest for the evening was Dr. Sanghamitra Ghosh, Secretary General- JPHAHeadquarter, Kolkata. Maharashtra State Branch: Amual General Body meeting was held on 20'hJanuary 2017 a[ 7.00 PM at MGMMedical College, Aurangabad. Total no. of Members present in the GB meeting is 19. Joint annual conference of`IPHA and IAPSM was held in MGM Medical College, Aurangabad on 20-21 January 2017. [PHA Quiz was held infirst week of April celebrating World Health Day. IPHA Maharashtra branch received very good response from al Imedical colleges across state for undergraduate research proposal. The branch also started essay competition for

post graduate students. The topic was `Current Public Health Issues in India: Challenges And Solutions'. Total 18post graduate students registered their names. Finally seven submitted their essays in time schedule. They wereevaluated t)y senior and three post graduate students were selected for awards. From 2018 in annual conference olIPHA Maharashtra Branch there will be two orations in the name of Dr. Banoo Koyaji and Dr. S. V. Mapuskar.Also there will 0e two prizes for best posters in the name of Dr. V. N. Rao and Dr. J.K. Adranvala. Gujarat State Branch: World Birth Defects day observed on 3'd March at Health and Care foundation (PolioFoundation) during training sessions of dedicated Mobile Health Team of Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram.Under this celebration, experts have addressed the crowd of more than 150 including AYUSH Doctors, withparamedics and conveyed the knowledge on Birth defects. Participants have also actively participated in the sessionand shared their filed experience. World Down Syndrome Day is observed on March 21. Prevention of NCDsobserved on 12'h July. 62nd IPHA foundation day has been celebrated by Gujarat state IPHA team members on 16thSeptember, 20] 7 at Health and Care Foundation, Ahmedabad.
