compilation in sea regions: current status

Annual Meeting, June 15-16 2015, Istanbul, Turkey

General overview of the HMCR’s contribution:

Current status (April 2015)

Seawater Sediment Biota

Number of CDIs at beginning: 3268 62

Number of CDIs at year 1: + 1324

Number of CDIs at year 2: + 900

Difficulties encountered:

•Some datasets cannot be processed because the corresponding metadata are missing

•Missing P01 and P09 labels from the elements/compounds result in delay of data processing. Different methods of analysis along the decades demand different P01 and P09 labels increasing the time for processing

•Not uniform units among datasets for the same chemical elements/compounds increase the time of processing

•In some cases, there is a mismatch between the reported datasets and the actual scientist holdings (a time-consuming procedure to find these data)
