Music

Hi! I am Mitchell Frey and when I am not cruising the 7 seas, I play in the Praise Team on Sundays. I have been playing the tenor trombone, my main instrument, for 16 years but I also play most brass instruments. Last Sunday, I played the ocarina (it looks like

a potato) which I had bought off the internet because it was on sale and then taught myself how to play it. I love to write, arrange, record, and edit music and videos, and I have a YouTube channel under the name of Sir Enob Mort where you can hear/see some of my music/videos. Currently, I am learning the theremin and the didgeridoo, which I brought back from Australia. - Mitchell Frey

Can you help our friends in Guatemala respond to the COVID-19 Pandemic? For $105 you can give a “high five” and help ILAG to provide a month's supply of food and hygiene to a family of 8.

These funds will directly help the families of the young women who are studying at the MILAGRO Women’s Center.

You can donate to their COVID-19 Relief Food program through

Council Nominees

Dan Lizdas – President Dan is currently concluding his first term as council president and has accepted a nomination for a second term. He and his wife Allison, and children Matteus and Ellie, have been members at LCR for almost 14 years. Dan is a finance director at Coca-Cola, where he has worked for the past 18 years. His favorite bible verse is Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

Elizabeth Shreiner - Treasurer Elizabeth and her husband Kurt have been members of LCR for three years. They have lived in Marietta for 19 years and have two grown children. She has a Business degree from William and Mary and has 17 years of banking experience. Elizabeth’s favorite Bible verse is Psalm 46:10 “Be silent and know that I am God! I will be honored by every nation. I will be honored throughout the world."

Dan Steidle – At Large Dan is a lifelong Lutheran attending Good Shepherd Lutheran as a child in Cincinnati. He and his wife Carol have been members at LCR for 5 years and will be celebrating their 40th anniversary this November. They have three children working in service oriented jobs. Dan is a Finance Director for the Coca-Cola Company, having worked for The Coca-Cola Company for the past 28 years. He previously worked for 10 years with different Bottlers in the US primarily with Sunbelt/CCCI in Charleston SC.

Kimberly Tonn – At Large Kimberly is excited at the prospect of joining LCR's church council for the upcoming term. She is wife to Eric and mom to Eli (4.5 yrs, resident superhero) and Lydia (2, usually sidekick sometimes butterfly). She is also an attorney with the Securities and Exchange Commission. Kimberly grew up in the Lutheran Church (with another Pastor Dave), and is a proud UGA Bulldog (where she & Eric met). Her favorite Bible verse is Romans 5:8 and her favorite words of wisdom come from Jean Vanier - "We are not called by God to do extraordinary things, but to do ordinary things with extraordinary love." Kriss Nelson – At Large Kriss is married to Bryan and has 3 daughters, Hillary, Beka, and Reilley. She has been a life-long Lutheran, and her family joined LCR 15 years ago. LCR has been and continues to be her church "home. The Nelsons treasure the friendships they have made here at LCR. Kriss taught special education for over 32 years and retired. Currently, she is working half-time for Marietta schools is busy with a full tutor schedule. This will be her second time to serve as an at-large member on council, and she is honored to serve with such a great group of people and for such a strong church community.
