A Letter from LeadershipDear Friends,

Remember when you were a kid and people would ask you what you wanted to be when you grew up? 2017 was a year for Women’s Housing Coalition to really start thinking about this question. What do we want to be as we continue to grow and respond to our ever changing environment? As an organization, we are in the beginning stages of strategic planning. Part of our growth process is looking at how we want to expand our role in the community, which resulted in a new mission statement:

The Women’s Housing Coalition supports families and individuals with permanent and affordable, service-enriched housing.

This statement allows us the flexibility to reach more people in the future and to expand our services to people across the spectrum of homelessness and housing instability. As we continue to address the question of what and where we want to be in the future, we recognize that our donors are key to any strategic plan we create. Without your support, we would not have been able to serve 150 individuals in 2017 (119 adults and 31 children). Because of you, our women and families are finding stability – financially, socially, and in their housing.

No matter what the future holds for the Women’s Housing Coalition, we will continue to provide stability for those experiencing homelessness because of our donors. With your support, we will continue working with individuals and families as they strive to achieve housing stability for the rest of their lives.
