How can How can you helpyou help wildlife wildlife ??
Please remember, you should not automatically
pick up or approach injured wildlife. Certain animals should only be handled
by experienced rescuers, particularly if they are ill or injured. Disturbing animals could lead to further injury and you could put yourself
at risk of bites or attacks as well.
Many times, the finder provides an animal’s only
chance of getting the help it needs. If you must intervene, the first step
in a wild animal rescue is the capture. Before taking action, however, remem-ber that wild animals are
easily frightened and may attack once cornered. Visit www.CROWClinic.org to
see how to protect yourself and the animal.

Humans are never a young animal’s best hope for survival. A young animal should only be removed
from the wild after exhausting all avenues to reunite it with its parent.

Seeing is believing - CROW’s live animal exhibits compare and contrast invasive species found in SW Florida with
native ones who are threatened by their presence.
Patients recovering in the hospital are not on exhibit to the public, but several outdoor enclosures and hospital
rooms can be viewed via live camera feeds.
