Treasurer’s Report
Russell Crook, Treasurer, provided an overview of the financial position of the Association. He acknowledged Redstone (Service Provider), Rustam Kassam(Independent Chartered Professional Accountant), and Douglas Cutts, in particular, for their work on the Financial Statements. The Treasurer noted a significant decrease in cash due to an unusual assessment of GST by CRA that is currently under appeal. Membership revenues increased due to the increase in number of members and increase in membership fees. Less regional attendance for the conference resulted in lower registration numbers, however increased fees resulted in higher conference revenues. He also noted that a Review Engagement is the suitable review of financial statements based on the nature and volume of transactions.
Moved by Russell Crook, Treasurer, that the unaudited financial statements for the year ended September 30, 2019 be approved as presented. Seconded by Joel ShawCarried.
