At a function held at BEML Bangalore Complex, Shri D S Mishra, IAS, Secretary, Housing & Urban Affairs, Govt. of India agged off the Metro car set in the presence of Shri Deepak Kumar Hota, CMD BEML.

Earlier, Shri Mishra had detailed discussion with BEML Ofcials and was taken around the production facilities. He was accompanied by Shri Ajay Seth, MD, BMRCL. Shri Mishra appreciated the efforts being made by BEML in contributing to the core sectors of the economy.

It may be noted that BEML has bagged order for supply of 14 car sets to KMRCL, out of which 10 metro car sets were already delivered. The Company has so far produced more than 1500 Metro Cars for Delhi, Jaipur, Bangalore & Calcutta Metro Corporations.

At Aero India 2019, Asia’s premier bi-annual Airshow & Aviation Exhibit ion, BEML showcased its competence in manufacturing of Airborne Structures, Ground Support and Ground Handling Systems and also displayed missile aggregates for Akash and Quick Response Surface-to-Air-Missile (QRSAM) along with ISRO Motor, Bomb Pallets and Aviation Hoses, which are critical components for the aviation sector.

Corporation participates in international industrial cooperation while manufacturing components for the Airbus A320 airliner family.

BEML signed an MoU with Syndicate Bank, one of the oldest Banks, for nancing Earth Moving & Construction Equipments manufactured by BEML.

The MOU was signed in the presence of Shri Ajay Vipin Nanavati, Chairman, Syndicate Bank, Shri Deepak Kumar Hota, CMD, BEML Limited, Shri Mrutyunjay Mahapatra, MD & CEO, Syndicate Bank, Shri B R Viswanatha, Director (M&C), BEML and other senior ofcials from the respective organisation.

“BEML has been at the forefront of supporting the MSME sector through the 'Make in India' initiative. The signing of the MOU with Syndicate Bank will facilitate the availability of loans and address the growing demand for higher capacity equipments in the Mining Industry. This will also give a llip to the Mining & Construction industry in its drive

towards mechanization,” said Shri D. K. Hota, CMD, BEML.

Under the MOU, BEML will nominate Syndicate Bank as a preferred nancer for nancing its customers. The customers under the tie-up arrangement will be provided loans in the range of Rs. 20 Lakh to Rs. 300 Lakhs and preferential pricing by Syndicate Bank. Financing Equipments of BEML will be covered under 'SPECIAL' scheme of the Bank.

BEML upgraded Dumpers for NCL

In one of its kind initiatives Northern Coalelds Limited (NCL) received technically upgraded dumpers at NCL Central Workshop (CWS).

In the rst lot, two dumpers have been fully upgraded at CWS and deployed at Block-B coal pro ject o f the company showing robust performance. Buoyant NCL has put another three dumpers for upgradation.

This has helped NCL with increased productivity on account of equipment availability and reliability.

BEML, in association with NCL has made phenomenal changes in the main frame, body guide, operator's cabin, viscous mounting, tank and parking brake system of the dumpers that has led into better operator comfort, improved reliability with enhanced safety features.

Shri MV Rajasekar, New Director (Mining & Construction) BEML

Shri MV Rajasekar has assumed charge as Director (Mining & Construction) and member of the board of

stBEML on 1 June 2019. Prior to assuming charge, he was Executive Director and Marketing Head of

Shri Rajasekar is a graduate in Metallurgical Engineering from VNIT, Nagpur and holds a post graduate degree (M. Tech) in Welding Engineering from IIT Chennai and done his MS in Technology Management from Germany.

Shri Rajasekar has over 31 years of varied experience, spread across several functions like R&D, Production, Planning, Outsourcing and Marketing in the Mining & Construction, Defence and Rail & Metro segments.

He is married to Indira, a house wife. Their daughter Divya is currently working in USA after completion of Post Graduate Degree in Environmental Engineering.
