EligibilityOpen to all interested artists. All media will be considered, including fiber arts. NO ENTRY FEE
InstructionsArtwork must be based on or inspired by the 2019 featured book, Eruption: The Untold Story of Mount St Helens by Steve Olson. Participating artists may pick up a free copy of the featured book, compliments of the Friends of the Library, at the library's front desk.
Artwork must be suitably prepared for display and ready to hang (i.e. framed and wired, etc.). Works must weigh lessthan 45 pounds and may protrude no more than 12 inches from the wall.
DeliveryArtwork (accompanied by a completed and signed 'Artwork Display Agreement & Registration form') will be received up to and including Saturday, September 21, or contact Mary Kapp at 509-493-1679 or [email protected] to make special arrangements.
The show will close at 6 pm on Thursday, October 31. Artwork may be picked up November 1–5 during library open hours or at another time by arrangement.
ConditionsParticipating artists are on our mailing list, which may be subject to public records requests. Please notify us if you want to be removed from this list.
Works may be for sale at the request of the artist. If works are sold during the exhibition, the Friends of the Library would appreciate a donation, amount to be determined by the artist.
All accepted work is to remain on display for the duration of the exhibition.

RecognitionPeople's Choice selection will be recognized.
ReceptionThe opening reception hosted by the Friends of White Salmon Valley Community Library for the artists and the public will be held on Friday, September 27 from 6–8 pm in the library's Sprint/Baker Gallery.
