Tom York Lecture Series features Joan Chittister

The 2018 Tom York Lecture Series is set for 9:00am Saturday, October 13, at Knox and will feature well-known speaker and leader Joan Chittister. This year’s series is co-sponsored by Mt. Washington Presbyterian Church as part of that organization’s Jenkins/Jones Lecture Series.

Joan Chittister, a Benedictine Sister, is one of the most influen-tial religious and social leaders of our time. For 40 years she has passionately advocated on behalf of peace, human rights, women’s issues, and church renewal. A much sought-after speaker, counselor and clear voice that bridges across all reli-gions, she is also a best-selling author of more than 50 books. She received her doctorate in speech communications from Penn State University, the primary site of her archive collection.

Registration is open for the Chittister lecture While the Joan Chittister’s lecture is free, we do ask that you register in advance for planning purposes. You may sign up at knox.org, in the Michigan Avenue lobby, or by calling the church office at 513-321-2573.
