Rice Harvest Festival

The City of Katy hosts the festival annual on the second weekend inOctober. Our church has a prime location and as such we open our WelcomeCenter for bathrooms, a place to cool down, and a place to pray. We also host aChildren's Carnival, splitting the proceeds between missions and youth activities. To do this we need many volunteers and it is a great opportunity to servetogether as a family. Volunteer times are in two hour blocks (8am-5pm Saturdayand 11am-5pm Sunday). Volunteer roles include monitoring the WelcomeCenter, directing people to the bathrooms as well as keeping them clean andstocked; praying for/with individuals; and working the carnival stations which include: snow cones, dunk booth, lollipoptree, fishing game, ring toss, and bounce house. If you are interested in volunteering, contact Nathan Engman a
