Please join us on Sunday, October 6th at 12:30 pm by the Belltower doors (on Heath Street). This service takes place near the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi, and it celebrates the wonderful diversity of God’s creation. Refreshments for two-legged and four-legged animals will be served afterwards. All are welcome!
Back to Church Sunday: “Come and See!” After speaking with Jesus at the well, the Samaritan woman invited others to “come and see.” We, too, can invite others to “come and see” on “Back to Church Sunday”: September 29th. ARE YOU THE ONE WE WANT? Churches On-The-Hill Food Bank is looking for a volunteer Executive Director to take the reins of one of the largest and most effective food banks in Toronto. Opened in 1997, our Food Bank has to-date provided clients with groceries sufficient for over 1.8 million meals! Today, some 500
households depend on us. With an experienced and supportive management team the Executive Director leads the effort of over 100 committed volunteers. A high degree of autonomy and freedom to act are features of the position. All aspects of the food bank are in great shape and operating smoothly. The position of Executive Director is a rewarding one, contributing substantially to the well being of this major outreach effort of the churches on-the-hill. This is a call to service. If you are interested and/or would like further information please leave a message for Paul McGrath on the Food Bank telephone, 416-967-3842.
