Advent Bible Study: The Lay Ministry Committee will be hosting Bible discussion groups throughout the season of Advent between the 8:00am and 10:00am services. This congregationally-led discussion group will explore the Advent Sunday scriptural readings following the Advent themes of hope, love, joy and peace. Meetings will be held in the Arthur Smith Room unless otherwise indicated on the Sunday morning. For details, contact David Moore or the Reverend Canon Douglas Graydon.

Free Sunday parking is available on Sunday mornings (up to 1:30 pm) at the public parking lot, just across from the church on Heath Street. Stamp your parking ticket using the church address stamp found on the table at the Bell tower door. After Church go to the customer service office with your validated ticket where you will be given an exit ticket. Please park only on the lower levels.

The Nest (certified childcare for infants to age 4) is open

during the Sunday 10 am service on the third floor.

Children & Youth Programs

The Nest is our childcare program for children under the age of 4. The Nest opens prior to the 10:00 service in our nursery space on the third floor. Tuta Shurdha is our certified Nest coordinator, and she is accompanied by a volunteer parent or teen assistant. If you would like to use this service, please ask one of the sidespeople to direct you to the Nest.

PromiseLand is our church school for children from the ages of 5 to 12. The children meet in the church at 10:00 am, and then move to the St. Nicholas Chapel during the opening hymn. Natalie Kemp is our Director of Children’s Education, and would be happy to tell you more about Promiseland.

YAL – Young Anglican Leaders meet regularly for learning, fellowship, food and fun. Please speak with Natalie Kemp for more details about YAL.

Rising Stars Recital Students from the U.ofT. Faculty of Music

will perform

Our Rector is at Holy Trinity, Thornhill this morning, where he is preaching at the Founders’ Day Service for his alma mater, Holy Trinity School. Kevin was a founding student at HTS in 1981.

Upcoming Sundays… November 24 is our Anniversary Sunday (celebrating 143 years of CCDP!) December 1 is the First Sunday of Advent (Advent Lessons & Carols at 10:00 am & Lighting of the Advent Wreath). It is also World AIDS Day, which we will remember in the context of the prayers that day.

CCDP Contemplative Knitting Circle: We honour stillness, beauty, skill & human labour. Please join us in the Arthur Smith Gallery for a silent auction of our work from November 3rd – 22nd. All proceeds go to CCDP. Parish Forum – Sunday, November 3, 2013: A big thank you to all presenters and parishioners for an energetic and informative Parish Forum. It was truly inspirational and a testament to the engagement, commitment and longstanding generosity of this parish. There sure is Life Here! Christian Meditation continues on Monday, November 18th at 11:15 am in the Arthur Smith Room. No experience required!

Christmas Fair November 30, 2013 10:30 am to 1:30 pm

Volunteers Needed. We also need home-baking and preserves, knitting, linens, jewelry, crafts, and bottles (wine, olive oil, etc.) for the bottle game. Call Anne LeFeuvre for more information at 416-484-3710 RAFFLE TICKETS – HAND MADE QUILT & OTHER PRIZES: Tickets for the Raffle are $2/each or 3 for $5 and are available in Elliott Hall this morning or from the Parish Office during the week. All monies raised from the Raffle will be donated to our Outreach ministries.
