3 Powerful Quotes.

• Nature is so powerful, so strong. Capturing its essence is not easy - your work becomes a dance with light and the weather. It takes you to a place within yourself.

• When I say I want to photograph someone, what it really means is that I'd like to know them. Anyone I know I photograph.

• Sometimes I enjoy just photographing the surface because I think it can be as revealing as going to the heart of the matter.

• Born in Waterbury, Connecticut, on October 2, 1949, Leibovitz is the third of six children. She is a third-generation American whose great-grandparents were Jewish immigrants from Central and Eastern Europe. Her father's parents had emigrated from Romania. Her mother, Marilyn Edith, née Heit, was a modern dance instructor of Estonian Jewish heritage; her father, Samuel Leibovitz, was a lieutenant colonel in the U.S. Air Force. The family moved frequently with her father's duty assignments, and she took her first pictures when he was stationed in the Philippines during the Vietnam War.

Factual:

Context:

This is a photo of Scarlet Johansson, in the photo we can see that Cinderella is wearing a very pretty dress.

Technical

I think this picture was create in two shots where the castle at the back looks like it is a computer image which has been edited and the Cinderella character shot has been taken in a studio.

Aesthetic:

The part of the picture in which I like is the steps in the background where when you first look at the person the steps drag your eyes to them as they are light and misty which make you intrigued into looking at the picture.

I think this picture was taken in one shot as Annie Leibovitz could have edited the background and the frog on the water and all of the sparkles around her.

Aesthetic:Aesthetic:

The part of this photo that I like is the lighting behind the girl as it makes her stand out and it also makes her eye catching to look at, I also like the reflection in the water as she looks like she is looking at herself.

This photo looks like it has a huge girl in it, but I think it was taken in two shots on shot of the girl and one shot of the room.

I like the whole picture as it is different from her other ones and it shows emotion in the girls face and it looks like a compacted picture with lots of things to look at in the background which makes me focus on all of the different objects.

Powerful Quote.

• Coming tight was boring to me, just the face... it didn't have enough information.
