6/21/42-Anne has to write an essay entitled a chatter box when she continues to talk in class. I learned that Anne can be michievious.

7/7/42-Annes family receives a call from the SS about a call up for Margot. I learned that Anne doesn’t display her fear when she knows it will hurt others even more.

7/8/42-Anne finds out that she’s going into hiding and has to wear layers of clothing during the summer. I learned that Anne doesn’t complain when she does things that are goinng to keep her safe.

9/28/42- Anne has to deal with Mrs. Van Daan criticizing her and how she was brought up. I learned in this chapter how hard it is to live with another family.

Everyone has found that there were rats in thier attic. I learned doesn’t always show her fears but keeps calm.

3/10/43-When the electricity went out. Anne Frank and her family had to be silent while listening to aircraft and machine guns.

4/3/44- Anne talks about what food she eats and how she eats the same things over and over again. The sign of courage here is that Anne states that as long as they’re still alive and most of the time the food taste good and that is all that matters.

4/11/44- There was a burglary at the warehouse office. The police are right outside the bookcase. Everyone was shivering. They had to go the bathroom in a bucket. It stunk and alll they could think of was would they survive? And would the police ever go away?

The color red represents courage which Anne shows throughout the story. One example of her courage she goes into hiding. When she goes into hiding , she can’t bring a suitcase because if people see her they might suspect what she’s doing. Anne has to wear layers of clothing in the middle of July.

Color Collage: Purple: independent

The color purple represents independence. Anne continuously shows independence throughout the story. Through the story she does not always like what is going on around her so she goes off and writes in her journal. This is one of the ways Anne shows independance.

Room design: Annex

This is the Annex which is the hiding place that Anne stayed in. She enjoyed the moving bookcase and her bedroom she felt was pretty cool however she did not enjoy the Van Daans which is the family she had to be there with. I think that if she got to do that again she would like it with just her family.

A Little Night Music for Anne:

Anne used to listen to this piece with Peter Van Daan. They would not talk at all ever so this piece was very special to Anne.
