Finishing:Weave in ends using Tapestry hook, weaving them throughthe stitches themselves, not just the holes.

To Block: Wash shawl in mildly hot soapy water, being careful not toagitate. Let soak for 5-10 minutes.

Rinse in warm water to remove suds. Damp dry with a towel.

Pin shawl out to finished measurements, or to necessary widths/lengths,

on blocking boards or other blocking surfaces. Start with the top andbottom center and pin out as far as you can stretch it. Then pin out the

tips of the wings, as far as you can stretch them. Pin each Ch-4 loop

out. Once it has been all pinned, now the piece has had time to settle alittle bit, so take all the pins and stretch it out one last time. This will

allow the lace to show beautifully and give you more width/length.

Let air dry until completely dry. Unpin and wear!
