believed the call of God in my life and has supported me over the years...

Can a Brazilian be a missionary to the world? the answer is...YES!

IT ALL STARTED WITH A WEEK’S MISSIONS TRIP

AT THE AGE OF 17, I RECEIVED A CALL TO SERVE GOD IN MISSIONS, TO WORK WITH YOUNG PEOPLE.I joined a Canadian Campus Crusade team for 1 week traveling in rural areas of my State in Brazil. After leading a group of 15 people to Jesus, I could not go back to being the same...

AT THE AGE OF 19 I JOINED YOUTH WITH A MISSION AND DID MY TRAINING IN THE USA IN 1987 & 1988.Discipleship Training School (DTS) changed my life and the School of Evangelism further trained me for ministry. I returned to Brazil and joined YWAM in Belo Horizonte where I worked for 4 and a half years with evangelism, teaching, traveling all over Latin America.

FROM BRAZIL TO THE NATIONS OF THE WORLDIn 1994 God called me out of Brazil again to go to the nations and I have served in YWAM Texas for 9 years, YWAM/ University of the Nations, Kona, HI for 7 years and am now with YWAM Restenas, Sweden since 2009 with a vision for Sweden youth and Europe.

WORKING WITH YWAM RESTENÄSI am serving with YWAM here in Sweden and getting more into the country, working with youth and youth leaders, churches, evangelism and conferences.

I give leadership to a team of 9 people, including 6 Swedes, 1 Norwegian and 1 Belgium. Our team hosts weekends for youth and youth leaders, summer camps and mission outreaches for youth, travel to conferences and churches, do evangelism in different cities in Sweden and Northern Europe.

SWEDEN’S HISTORY IN MISSIONS100 years ago Swedes went out as missionaries to Africa, Latin America, Asia, etc. I keep meeting people who grew up in Brazil, speak Portuguese, whose grandparents were missionaries.

MEETING BERTIL VINGRENThe picture above is with Bertil Vingren, 86 years old, born in Brazil to Gunnar and Frida Vingreen, Swedish m i s s i o n a r i e s wh o b ro u g h t t h e Pentecostal movement to Brazil in 1910, starting the Assemblies of God in 1911.

I visited Bertil and wife, Ridmor, in their home here in Sweden. I heard the stories of their family, saw old pictures, so many sacrifices. His dad, Gunnar, became severely ill in Brazil returning to Sweden in 1932 and dying the next year. I honored this family and asked Bertil to pray for me and bless me as a missionary now to Sweden. Many emotions & tears marked this significant encounter and I know this is only the beginning of my story in this nation!

Being a missionary to Europe is not as popular as to Africa or Asia and yet this

continent is the darkest on earth.

Europe exports secularism to the rest of the world and it is in urgent need of a move of

God again!

I believe young people, many born

and raised without a reference of God, will become key to this move of God and that is why I spend my life and

time here!

KONTAKT - a weekend event for youth & youth leaders, Restenäs

In January we will have a mobile Discipleship Training school (YWAM’s 5 months DTS) going through Sweden! We will open the classes to churches in 5 cities and hold youth events on weekends...CANT WAIT!!!

Our YWAM base, Restenäs is growing. 90 full time staff from 20 plus nations. We run 8 training schools a year and have planted permanent teams in India, Nepal, Cambodia, Thailand, Turkey, China and focusing on North Korea.Check out: www.ywamrestenas.se

Being equipped to disciple

In August I started a 3 year course on Christian formation and discipleship together with 35 people from several nations. I will study

on my own for most of the time and come together for 2 week intensives 6 different times either in Switzerland or South Africa.
