Tendonitis occurs when your tendons don’t get enough blood and when your tendons get inflamed, also when they are over used.

Posterior Tibial
Peroneal Tendon

The injury is located in the posterior aspect of the ankle
SymptomsSymptoms
Swelling along the ankle after sprain or strain
Inflamed
Pain when moving that certain body part
Treatment Treatment
R.I.C.E R: Get plenty of Rest I: Ice the inflamed
area C: Compress the
area to allow better healing
E: Elevate the foot above the heart
PrognosisPrognosis
In minor and long term cases there is an anticipation of full recovery. Having surgery is very rare. But if there was surgery there would be a partial loss of function. The amount of time a person would be out would be dependent on the severity, but most people will be out from a few days to a few months. You are able to function with this injury, but not at the best of your ability.
