Welcome,

Thank you so much for considering helping us complete our family. In our family, your child will be in a safe, loving environment and have every opportunity to grow up into the unique, special person they were meant to be.

4 years ago, Anjali gave birth to our son, Alex. After years of fertility treatments, he was a little bit of a miracle, but, at the time, we hardly realized what a blessing he was. When we realized that our hearts were open to another child, we did not hesitate; we knew that adoption was the right path for us.

We promise to provide your child with a safe home.

We promise that your child will always be loved.

We promise to provide your child every opportunity to grow up into the unique, special person they were meant to be.

We promise to be a little silly every day.

AnjaliAnjali taught me how to have fun; not just as a family, but in general. On the outside, she seems kind of serious, but she is stealth-silly. Since I did not arrive in this relationship with any silliness at all, she has spent 15 years teaching me. I like to think that I have finally learned.

You won’t be surprised that Anjali is “fun Mom”. The day Alex was born, she showed her true colors: the first to tickle, the first to laugh, quickest to redirect, slowest to correct.

Anjali runs the show from planning a vacation for a dozen friends to organizing the neighborhood parents’ group to finding the butter I just had in my hand and now can’t find on the counter.

She is teaching me every day, keeping me real, every day, and reminding me of my inner silly every day.

RikiFrom the first time I met Riki, she has been encouraging me to try new things. Whether it's trying new food(s) to traveling all over the world!

Riki is one of the most caring and perceptive people I've ever known. She is constantly thinking of others and taking into account what they are feeling. This makes her a wonderful partner and mother.

Riki is also brilliant, she completed her PhD in Social Psychology at Northwestern University. There is no problem that she can't solve!

AlexAlex is our 4 year old son. He is so excited to be a big brother!

Anjali gave birth to Alex in 2013, and Riki adopted Alex officially in 2014.

Now our life is all about play-dates and family activities. We could fill this whole book with pictures of our family.

We look forward to completing our family with a new baby.

HeritageAnjali comes from a big Indian-American family in New York. We celebrate her family and her culture in lots of ways, but the biggest one is food. Riki has learned to cook Indian food, and we eat curry at least twice a week.

These are only a few of Anjali’s 24

cousins!

Anjali’s brother came on vacation with us this year.

The Next GenerationRiki's family lives in Colorado, and we're sorry they're so far away, but it's always worth it when we get to travel to beautiful Colorado to see them.

Your child will have two cousins. Riki’sbrother has two boys: Gideon, who loves to read, and Liran who still pretty much does whatever Gideon says.

Riki’s mom and dad still live in the house she grew

up in in the Colorado mountains.

HomeWe own a 5 bedroom home in a great neighborhood. We got married in the backyard in 2010, and now we spend most of our time in the big, open kitchen and family room.

Working from home twice a week makes

time for breakfast and a workout.

At work, Anjali makes the

internet faster

Riki does math for a good cause for a nonprofit.

Alex’s favorite thing about preschool is “All the things!”.

Work and SchoolWe both work full time, and Alex attends a preschool that he loves. We have flexible work schedules that allow us to work from home or take time off for events at Alex’s school.

Anjali is not in this picture because she fell into the stream.

Riki grew up in the country, so she loves to be

outdoors.There were eight

adults and five kids on the trip this

year.

TravelWe’ve got the travel bug! We enjoy traveling as a family and with friends.

Every year, we go away with all our friends to the mountains. This year was the first year that Alex was big enough to hike.

This year Alex learned how to ski,

he enjoyed it so much he’s been

asking to go back.

Costa Rica is one of our favorite winter escapes.

We all enjoyed the rainforest and the

hanging bridges. Best part was seeing the

monkeys!

One of Riki’s favorite hobbies is to cook. And Anjali loves to dips – especially spicy salsa! This is a

match made in heaven.

Anjali really enjoys going to concerts. On a trip to Austin, TX the entire family was able

to see a concert at the legendary music venue –

Austin City Limits. Everyone had a great time.

We love our neighbors! The neighborhood does a Halloween parade in the park every year. Alex was Dory last year.

During a blizzard this year, everyone spent the whole day shoveling and then they all got together for a chat. The picture is not out of focus--that's a white-out blizzard.

And soccer practice in our neighborhood park.
