CURRENTLY SKILLS AWARDS EXPERIENCE Audiovisual Specialist for Raytheon October 2015 - Present As an Audiovisual Specialist for a government contractor, I am a webmaster for the U.S. Army stationed at Fort Lee, VA. My primary responsibility is to maintain the Transportation Corps website, but I also work on a team of three to rede- sign the government’s outdated websites and bring them into 2016 with im- proved user experience and responsive design. We build these new websites in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery. Some of my other job duties include photography, creating graphics, and creating wireframes in Adobe InDesign. As the designer in a small creative company, I collaborated with the back end developer on web design projects. I designed wireframes and I translated them into HTML5 and CSS3. I also completed graphic design projects. Summer ‘15 Web design for a start up business, Hemp Dog Cafe. I reorganized the information on their website to be attractive and easy to navigate for potential investors and customers. In the design I kept brand consistency, making decisions that adhered to their original brand. Completed in Wordpress. Spring ‘15 Logo design for singer/songwriter Nancy Gabaldon. Nancy was a VCU student and is a singer/songwriter in her spare time. For this project, I designed her logo in addition to a mock-up branding package including website, business card, and letterhead. Winter ‘13 & ‘14 Promotional material for candidates in VCU Homecoming ‘13 /’14. I designed promotional material to be distributed on social media. I photographed the candidates or used photos of their choice to design ads full of school spirit, reflecting their personality and the organization they repre- sented. I designed the same kind of ads for friends competing in various competitions hosted by student organizations throughout the years. Summer - Fall ‘14 Recruitment Counselor for VCU’s Greek Life. I was selected to join 36 of VCU’s sorority women to host our College Panhellenic Coun- cil’s formal recruitment. We disaffiliated from our own sororities and grew together as a team. Together, we received brief counseling training and person- ally, I guided a group of 13 young women through the process. September ‘12 - November ‘13 Social Chair for Zeta Tau Alpha at VCU. I planned, co-planned, and hosted large events for up to 200-250 people. In that year, I successfully planned 6 large events and several small ones. Fall ‘11 Founding member of the Lambda Eta chapter of Zeta Tau Alpha Women’s Fraternity. I was selected from an interest group of approx. 300 to join a founding class of 100. In our critical first year, I was very involved in building a team, a cohesive image, and a set of common goals for such a large group. Jay and Sondra Weinberg scholarship $3,000 from VCU’s Honors College. VCUarts renewable scholarship $5,000 from the school of art. VCUarts is ranked as the #1 Public University Arts and Design Program in the Country (US News and World Report.) Chapter of the Year 2014 award received from VCU’s Greek Life office 4 years after founding Lambda Eta and in my last semester as a collegiate member.
