Explanation of animation• This example shows the use of ghost effect on images and the loop

instruction. • We will see a smoker who will fade away and be replaced by a skull. A

coughing sound will be heard through the play sound instruction. • The broadcast is from the smoker which is received by the skull. • The animation is to deliver the message that smoking is bad for

health.

Scripts for smoker and skull

Scripts for the skull• When the smoker becomes transparent, the skull is revealed. • The skull turns clockwise for one round. The calculation is

15 degrees x 24 = 360 degrees.

Scripts for the Cigarette & Text• The scripts for the cigarette and text are identical but in reverse order. • That is, when the animation is started, the cigarette is shown (show)

while the text is hidden (hide).

• Then, when the message “hideCigarette” is received, the cigarette is hidden and the text “Smoking Kills” is shown.

• There is no script for the purple background.

Overview of entire animation• The smoker is placed on top of the skull before the animation starts.• When the green flag is clicked, the scripts for smoker, cigarette and

text will be run. • The broadcast from the smoker is received by the skull, text and

cigarette.

Assignment Instructions• On your own, create the same Smoking Kills animation.• Once you are done, upload to Ms Liew’s Project folder.
