BROWN BEARS

• The brown bear (Ursus arctos), otherwise known as the grizzly bear is one of the largest North American land mammals and is a symbol of America's wild lands.

• Except for mating and caring for their young, grizzly bears in primarily lead solitary lives, spending most of their time foraging, or looking for food.

BROWN BEARS

• The grizzly is North America 's largest omnivore, meaning it eats both plants and animals.

• About 80-90% of the grizzly's food is green vegetation, wild fruits and berries, nuts, and bulbs or roots of certain plants.

• The remaining percentage of food is meat and that mostly comes from animal carcasses, or carrion, of big game animals. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brown_BearCached

WOLVES

• Wolves are large carnivores — the largest member of the dog, or Canid, family.

• Wolves hunt and travel in packs. Packs don't consist of many members, though. Usually, a pack will have only one male and female and their young

• Wolves are voracious eaters. They can eat up to 20 pounds (9 kg) of food during one meal. Since they are carnivores, their meals consist of meat that they hunted. www.livescience.com/27909-wolves.html
