THE ARTIC HARE
The artic hare or polar rabbit was thick fur to keep it warm. In winter its fur is white so you can´t see it in the snow. In the summer its head and body turn brown so it blends in the mud and rocks. Like ordinary rabbits, it is a herbivore. Its biggest enemy is the artic wolf.Blends: nahastu
THE HARP SEALThe harp seal has a
silvery-grey and pure black eyes. It has very good eyesight. Harp seals like swimming in the ocean and spend little time on land. They are very social animals. Adult females have one baby, or pup, every year. Harp seals live from about twenty years.
THE ARTIC FOXLike the artic hare, the artic
fox has thick fur to protect it from the cold. Its fur is white in the winter and brown in the summer. The artic fox is carnivorous and eats small animals. It also eats fish from under the ice. When the female has a littler, she normally has between five and eight babies, although she can have as many as twenty-five! One of its enemies is the polar bear.
