• Habitat – Where an animal lives
• Adaptation – Something an animal has or does that helps it live in its habitat
• Camouflage – Blend in with the surroundings
Polar Bear• Habitat: arctic
• Adaptations:– Thick, wooly fur– Thick layer of fat– White coat
(camouflage)
Camel• Habitat: desert
• Adaptations:– Hump– Weeks without drinking– Webbed feet
Octopus• Habitat: ocean• Adaptations:– Dig holes under rocks to make underwater dens– Pile rocks to block– Change its color- camouflage
Beaver
• Habitat: lakes/streams by wooded areas• Adaptations:– Build dams from trees– Chisel-like teeth– Eat leaves, twigs, and tree bark
