THINGS TO DO • Anglesea PADDLE BOATS operates everyday over Christmas School Holidays and Easter as well as most weekends from September to April. They have paddle boats, canoes, aqua bikes and fun boats. They are located just after the bridge on the left hand side in the first car park. • The Anglesea TENNIS CLUB has courts for hire and is just down the road from the Park. The cost is currently $10 for 1 hour. If there is no one at the club house there is an honesty box to place your money in. • If you like to FISH please remember adults need a licence to fish in both the river and the sea. Good spots to go fishing in the river are along Bingley Parade as there are small jetties that you can fish from. You can also fish off the main surf beach or at the beach at the back of the park. • There are some lovely WALKS around the Anglesea area. The most popular one is the Surfcoast Walk which takes you through to Pt Addis beach and beyond to Torquay if you wish (there are also good walks within the Ironbark Basin at Pt Addis). The walk starts at either the beach access point or at the road above the office and is approximately 5kms one way and offers magnificent views as you pass through coastal heathland. There is also a beach walk from Anglesea main beach to Pt Roadknight which takes approx 20 mins or for a longer walk (1 ¼ hrs) continue to Urquhart Bluff (best done on low tide). • There is an excellent playground located in Anglesea at COOGOORAH PARK which is situated at the end of River Reserve Road (first turn right after the bridge into Noble St and then first turn right). There are also board walks along the river starting at Coogoorah Park. • There is a state of the art MOUNTAIN BIKE COURSE in Anglesea for all skill levels. It is located in Camp Road and is open daily. Other trails lead from there also. The outdoor pool is heated (Sept to April); the spa is heated all year round to 37deg. The indoor spa is available between 8.45am and 9pm with a pre-booking at a nominal fee during office hours. Children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. Day visitors are NOT permitted to use the pool. GAMES ROOM – Open 9am until 9pm daily. Games take $1 coins. Change is available from the vending machine here. INDOOR TODDLER PLAY ROOM – Open daily from 9am until 7pm for children 5 and under. PLAYGROUNDS – We have 2 playgrounds located in the park. MINI GOLF – Open daily from 8.30am during daylight hours. Free with a $10 returnable deposit for the putters & balls. SPORTING EQUIPMENT& BOARD GAMES – Available free of charge at Reception. PEDAL GO CARTS – Available from Reception 8.30am until dusk daily. Fees apply. BBQ’s – There are 7 undercover coin operated electric BBQ’s located throughout the park. They take $1 coins, which will give you approximately 20 minutes. TOTAL FIRE BAN DAYS – The parks BBQ’s are electric and can be used; however, portable gas BBQ’s and stoves are not permitted on days of total fire ban. WIRELESS INTERNET– Free wireless internet is available for Adults only in the Meeting room when the room is not booked. Password is written on the white board inside. Tomizone is the paid option if you would like wireless at your site. LOST AND FOUND – If you have lost or found anything during your stay with us please notify us at Reception. CAMP KITCHENS & TV ROOM – Open daily from 8am to 10pm. LAUNDRIES – There are 3 guests laundries open daily from 8.30am until 9pm. FAMILY, DISABLED & INFANTS’ BATHROOMS – We have a family/ disabled bathroom and an infants’ room located at Toilet Block 4 (not open from 1st May to 15th September). There is also a wheelchair friendly room and an infants’ room located at Toilet Block 6 (open all year round). A $20 key deposit is required to access these rooms. VISITORS – Your day and overnight visitors are more than welcome in our park; however please advise them that they need to register at Reception on arrival and pay the applicable fee. A day visitors car park is provided between the hours of 9am to 9pm. SECURITY – We have caretakers onsite after the office is closed each night. If you experience any emergencies after 7pm please call 5263 2159. Over the Christmas Holidays and Easter we have registered security guards on site. KIOSK/SHOP – At Reception between 8.30am to 7.00pm daily. We have a selection of wine, beer, chocolates, chips, drinks, ice- creams, breads, newspapers, ice, grocery items and gas refills. We also refill and swap gas bottles between 10am to 7pm daily. TOP TOURIST PARKS – We are a member of the Top Tourist Parks chain, which gives you a discount of 10% up to a maximum of $30 per stay. The cost to join is $30 for a 2 year membership. There are over 200 parks in Australia. RECYCLING – Place all recyclables unbagged in yellow-lidded bins. All other general rubbish goes in green-lidded bins. Please note: Anglesea is plastic bag free at all shops. EMERGENCY PROCEDURES – Instructions to Patrons Emergency procedure not at your Site/On Site Accommodation In the event of an emergency NOT including your particular site or on site accommodation, you should adhere to the following procedures: 1. Secure your valuables. 2. Make sure your accommodation is safe by turning off power & gas. 3. Gather all site members. 4. Walk to the nearest assembly areas, at the BEACH or OVAL. 5. Wait for instructions from Emergency Services or Caravan Park Staff. Emergency procedure at your Site/On Site Accommodation In case of an Emergency at your ACCOMMODATION you should: 1. Notify Caravan Park Office on 5263 2159 or ring fire brigade on 000. 2. If you attempt to extinguish fire use a correct extinguisher. 3. Turn off power & gas. 4. Use fire hose provided with the aim of stopping the spread of the fire to any adjoining cabins or caravans. 5. Evacuate all family members to the nearest assembly areas. In the event of an emergency DO NOT attempt to remove your car, boat or caravan. This will block the road & hinder Emergency Services. This procedure does not cover Code Red days. If a Code Red day is called for our area we reserve the right to close and the park’s in-house services (i.e. cleaning, reception, rubbish collection, etc.) will be limited. It is your responsibility to develop your own fire plan strategy and monitor weather conditions and warnings. The CFA has advised the safest option is to leave the area for the day. For more information on what to do on code red days and where the safer area is in Anglesea, please refer to flyers in our camp kitchens and the office notice board. SPEED LIMIT: Within the Park is 5km per hour. DEPARTURE: On departure day sites are to be vacated by 10.00am. Late checkout may be available outside the Christmas holiday period but only after arrangement with Reception. Late checkout fee applicable. SITE OCCUPATION: Management reserves the right to restrict numbers of persons & cars on any site or in any area of the Park. A site normally allows for 2 persons or a family unit. Family unit defined: Parent & their dependent children. No teenagers to remain on site without parental supervision. WRIST BANDS: are provided to all our guests under the age of 18. These are to be worn at all times in the park to help us identify our registered paying guests. Replacement bands free of charge provided the original is brought back. Lost bands $10.00. AWNINGS & SHADEHOUSES & GARDEN FURNITURE: Awnings & shadehouses must be securely fastened when erected and not tied to trees. CARS: All vehicles must be parked on the site. A second vehicle is allowed provided it can fit on the site. A fee for the second vehicle applies. The visitors car park is for DAY VISITORS CARS ONLY. A maximum of 2 cars per site is permitted in the park. BOOM GATES: Tailgating is prohibited and offenders will be evicted. Access numbers must not be given to visitors. BIKES & SKATES: Bikes and skates of any description are not permitted in the “bike free zone” or to be ridden after dusk. Cyclists must obey the speed limit whilst riding in the park & are to remain on roadways. Helmets must be worn when riding bicycles in park. Management reserves the right to withhold bicycles, skates/skateboards or scooters where the rider has infringed any part of this rule. Razer (slider) bikes, Green Machine pedal racer cars & motorised scooters are not permitted. FEES & REFUNDS: All fees are payable in advance. No refunds for early departures. NOISE: No noise is to be audible to the adjacent site after 10pm. Please call the duty manager on 5263 2159 for disturbances after this time. ALCOHOL: It is a Shire Bylaw that persons must not at any time consume any liquor or have in his or her possession any unsealed liquor container other than when on their site. Penalty $100. Underage drinking within the caravan park will not be tolerated. BEHAVIOUR: Swearing, anti-social behaviour & unlawful acts including but not limited to: violence, use of drugs, theft, vandalism, abuse (physical or verbal), foul language, excessive noise, unruly behaviour, drunken behaviour & under age drinking are totally unacceptable & are not permitted at any time. The managers or their representatives reserve the right to withdraw any booking or require the eviction of any persons if, in their opinion, there is a breach of any part of this rule. ROPES: Are not permitted to be tied to trees. TRENCHING: Trenching around tents & annexes is not permitted. SPORTING ACTIVITIES: All sporting activities are to be played on the recreational area, NOT on campsites or roads. PETS: Pets of any description are not permitted outside the designated dog friendly area. WASHING MACHINES & CLOTHESLINES: Individual washing machines & temporary clotheslines are not permitted. Laundries & clotheslines are provided for your convenience. SLEEPING IN CARS: Sleeping in any motor vehicle (with the exception of a properly equipped campervan) is not permitted. TOILETS & SHOWERS: Adults, please accompany your children under the age of 7 to the toilet & shower at all times. TAKING WETSUITS INTO AMENITIES BLOCKS IS STRICTLY FORBIDDEN. FIRES & BBQ’S: BBQ’s or heaters that require heat beads or any other type of outdoor heating is not permitted. Campers using gas barbecues should familiarise themselves with summer fire regulations. SUB LETTING: Hiring your van out is not permitted. If others use your van you must instruct them to register their names at the office & pay the appropriate fee. OWNER ONUS: Tourist Park Management & Consultants Pty Ltd. accepts no responsibility for vehicles & their contents whilst in the Park. It is your responsibility to ensure that your equipment (particularly gas bottles) complies with all Government regulations. RESPONSIBILITY: The registered site holder is responsible for the conduct & behaviour of all members of the booking. The owners reserve the right to cancel or withdraw any booking made for a person or persons, or decline to accept any such booking. The right is reserved to require any patron to withdraw from the Park at any time if in the opinion of managers or their representatives, his acts, conduct or behaviour is offensive, detrimental or not compatible with the interest, harmony, comfort or welfare of the other Park patrons.
