WHP
• Combination of educational, organization, and environmental activities & programs designed to motivate and support healthy lifestyles among a company’s employees and their families.

HWI Origin & Scope
• October 2002– Dr. Gerberding called for a WHP initiative at CDC
• Spring 2003– Program staff hired
• Based on the four HealthierUS “pillars”• All CDC employees nationwide• Focus on policy & environmental changes
– Designed to complement CDC’s Lifestyle Program

Vision….A worksite where healthful choices are easy choices.
