ANNOUNCEMENTS Chi Rho Sunday School class is using the video course Living the Questions 2.0. It is led by various progressive Christian pastors and thought leaders. The material provides a safe environment to explore questions without fear of being thought ignorant or a heretic. This course provides a platform for pursuing your questions as part of a lifelong spiritual journey. We now meet at 10am in the LEC Library. All are welcome! United Methodist Women invite ALL women to their next meeting on Tuesday, Aug 6, at 10:30am in LEC 3ABC. Come visit with Pastor Corey and enjoy a light lunch ($6). Join us for the first book in our Reading Series for 2019 - What We Need is Here: Practicing the Heart of Christian Spirituality by L. Roger Owens. First 10 to sign up receive a FREE BOOK. RSVP to Church. Hospitality Invitation - If you love serving others, the Hospitality Ministry invites you to join their team! Back to School Blessing on Sunday, August 11 - Join us on this special day as we prepare to deliver school supplies for area children and pray for the students, teachers and families for this new school year. Also, Kelly Hermes will tell us about her mission and the children at Resurrection House. Love to sing? Join the PCC Choir! Middle school thru adults are welcome. Choir practice on Thursdays at 7pm. Can’t read music? Bob Drick, director, will be teaching a class, Learn to Read Music, Wed nights at 6:30pm, Sept 4 - Nov 20 in LEC 3A. Contact Bob for all the details, 381-2499 x 209. Chapel Rose Garden - It’s time to replace old rose bushes with new healthy ones in our Garden. Your gift (any amount, payable to PCC) will benefit the Garden Ministry and help keep this special place beautiful. Another option - purchase a rose bush and personalized marker for $42 to honor or in memory of a loved one. Forms are available in the Narthex and Church Office. Need a Sunday morning coffee break? Our PCC moms invite all to join “Summer Sit n’ Sip” in Hamilton Auditorium Sundays from 10:00-10:45am during the summer. Come and enjoy some coffee talk! PCC Bus Driver Needed - The bus goes to the Fountains and Bay Pointe Tower on Sundays to pick up folks for the 11:00 Service. We currently have 4 volunteer drivers and need to add one or two more, which means you would only drive once every five or six weeks. No special license required, just a current Florida drivers’ license and a good driving record. Contact Julie in the church office if you are interested or need more information.
