Childhood: Warhol grew up in Pennsylvania and was very ill as a child. He was often bedridden, so he did not have many friends and became close with his mother.

The Beginning: Warhol’s artistic career started when he moved to New York City in 1949 to work for a magazine, making advertisement prints (an example of “commercial art”).

Silk Screen Printmaking: Warhol was famous for his silk screen printmaking technique. For Warhol, the imperfections of a work of art were just as important as the perfect details. So he took a casual approach to printmaking, that often included smudges, smears and other imperfections.

Pop Artist, film-maker and cultural icon, Andy Warhol Was atalented artist even as achild. He moved to NewYork City and made his name in advertising and Magazine illustration before opening his own studio.His early drawings are very delicate, while his Experience in experience in advertising gave him a Style that was part graphic desing,, part painting. In The 1960s he became a leader of the Pop Art Movement, and besides making illustations for adverts, he also painted realistic pictures of popular products such as soup and cola cans, thus turning something Ordinary and everyday into a work of art. These were A huge success and Warhol started to make them using A skill-screen printing process so that they could be Reproduced and more people could own. His subject Matter grew to include celebrities and modern icons, and his Portait of famous people such as Marilyn Monroe, Elizabeth Taylor and Chairman Mao have been imitated ever since.
